Having spent many years as a FINRA arbitrator, Peter Ambrose and now continues his work in the financial field as a director at Merrill Lynch. A supporter of several charitable initiatives, Peter Ambrose volunteers with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.
Volunteers at Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia can work in one of two ReStores, located in Alexandria and Chantilly. Each ReStore accepts donations of appliances, home improvement items, and building materials. The store then offers these items, whether new or used, back to the public at discounted prices. All proceeds support Habitat for Humanity's efforts to provide affordable housing in the local area.
Both Habitat ReStores need help every single day of the week. Volunteers assist staff members in taking in donated materials, pricing them and preparing them for sale, maintaining the store, and providing customer assistance. All Habitat for Humanity volunteers must complete a volunteer waiver before starting an assignment.
