In December 1999, Christian Carpenter set a golf world record by becoming the youngest player ever to hit a hole in one. Carpenter achieved the ace at the Mountain View Golf Club in Hickory, North Carolina, at just over four and a half years old. Carpenter later set a record for the lowest score on a complete short course. Over 18 holes, Carpenter scored a 54, which was 16 strokes under par.
Soona Lee-Tolley, meanwhile, stands as the youngest female golfer to record a hole in one. At just five years and 103 days old, Lee-Tolley hit the ace on a 125-yard hole at the Manhattan Woods Golf Club in 2007. Earlier that year, 102-year-old Elsie McLean set her own place in the golf record books as the oldest person to hit a hole in one. She achieved the mark at the Bidwell Park Golf Course in Chico, California, on the 100-yard fourth hole.
